Job Title: Loan Associate

Cash Today Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Associate to join our dynamic lending team. In this role, you will be crucial to helping out clients achieve their financial goals by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support throughout the loan process. Cash Today Inc. is an affordable short term asset based, secured lending company serving the needs of individuals and companies when traditional and big bank lending is not an option, for any number of reasons.

A small family based business with associates who enjoy building client relationships and helping in times of need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loan Processing: Coordinate and process loan applications from initial intake through closing, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and compliant with internal policies and regulations.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, answering questions, providing updates on their loan status, and guiding them through the application process.
  • Underwriting Support: Assisting the approval team by gathering and verifying all necessary client information including collateral documentation, asset valuation and lien searches.
  • File Management: Maintain and update loan and client files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative4 duties, such as evaluation and processing paperwork, posting payments, past due client collections, interacting with 3rd party companies, managing closing paperwork, and filing documentation.
  • Problem Resolution: Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, provincial, and internal lending regulations and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in subprime lending, financial services, or collections is an asset.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and highly accurate with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial and asset data.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and an aptitude for learning new loan processing software.
  • Customer Service: A customer focused approach with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Work Ethic: A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
