We are looking for a
self-starter Product Manager
who takes ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is driven to improve processes, products, and customer outcomes. You will have the opportunity to
shape the future
of our distribution equipment portfolio while working closely with engineering, sales, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a
Utility Product Manager
, you will:
- Serve as the
primary point of contact
for partners and customers, understanding their business challenges and advocating for their needs. - Define and champion a
compelling product vision
, always starting with the customer and working backwards. - Translate customer needs into
clear, prioritized business requirements
and product features. - Develop and maintain a
product roadmap
, aligning with business strategy and market trends. - Monitor product performance, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to guide ongoing improvements.
- Work closely with
Design and Engineering teams
to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions. - Lead product lifecycle management — from concept, design, and testing through launch and end-of-life.
- Prepare
technical proposals
, including product specifications, service offerings, and pricing strategies. - Engage with customers throughout the product lifecycle — from requirements gathering to launch, iteration, and retirement.
- Support
market analysis
, business case development, and go-to-market strategies. - Collaborate across
sales, marketing, operations, and manufacturing
to ensure seamless product delivery. - Travel up to
4 weeks per quarter
to meet customers, attend industry events, and support product launches.
Qualifications
Education & Technical Background
- Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering
or
Power Systems Engineering
. - Degrees in
Business Administration
,
Industrial Engineering
, or
Product Management
considered with relevant technical expertise. - Strong technical understanding of:
- Reclosers
- Switchgear
- Circuit breakers
- SCADA and automation systems
- Knowledge of
utility distribution systems
and
IEC/IEEE/CSA standards
. - Familiarity with
grid protection and control schemes
. - Ability to read and interpret
electrical schematics
and specifications.
Product Management & Business Skills
- Proven experience in
product lifecycle management
and
product strategy
. - Strong
market analysis
and
business case development
skills. - Experience in large,
global matrix organizations
is an asset. - Excellent
communication, storytelling, and presentation
skills. - High emotional intelligence with the ability to
influence and collaborate
across teams. - Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, and other collaboration tools.
- Bilingual in English and French
is an asset.
