Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional to support insurance financial reporting, month-end close, and audit activities. This role plays a key part in journal entries, financial analysis, and continuous improvement of reporting processes, including IFRS 17 readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close cycles
  • Contribute to monthly and management reporting with accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and support forecasting activities
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation and queries
  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to improve reporting outputs
  • Drive process improvements and documentation updates
  • Support IFRS 17 go-live and reporting enhancements
  • Act as backup for other finance roles and handle ad-hoc finance requests

Must-Have Requirements

  • CPA (CA / CGA / CMA), MBA, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in progressive finance roles (financial services preferred)
  • Exceptional Excel skills (critical)
  • Strong experience with financial analytics and modeling systems
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Windows-based tools

Nice-to-Have

  • Insurance products and insurance accounting knowledge
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Tableau, Aptitude, or similar finance tools
  • Exposure to IFRS 17 or insurance reporting environments

Pay Range Information:

The expected base salary range for this position is
$35 – $40 per hour
, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including bonuses, commission (if applicable), and/or other incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and market factors.
