Vitality Fitness is an upscale boutique fitness studio specializing in Electro Muscular Stimulation (EMS) training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) to contract with us to provide Nutritional Intravenous (IV) Therapy services to our clientele. The ideal candidate is passionate about holistic wellness, experienced in IV administration, and committed to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Role Summary

The Contract Naturopath will be responsible for overseeing and administering Nutritional IV Therapy services at the Vitality Fitness Westboro studio. This role requires clinical expertise, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and strong communication skills to integrate seamlessly with our wellness-focused environment and clientele.

Responsibilities

  1. Clinical Consultation and Assessment

  2. Conduct thorough initial consultations, including reviewing clients' health history, current medications, and lifestyle factors to determine suitability for IV therapy.

  3. Order and interpret necessary lab work prior to treatment, ensuring all client assessments meet professional and regulatory standards.
  4. Develop personalized IV therapy plans, including selection of appropriate nutritional cocktails, based on client needs, goals, and clinical findings.

  5. Obtain informed consent from all clients before commencing treatment.

  6. IV Administration and Safety

  7. Prepare and administer nutritional IV drips and injections safely and competently, adhering to aseptic techniques and best clinical practices.

  8. Ensure the highest standard of patient safety, including monitoring clients during and after IV administration and managing any potential adverse reactions.
  9. Maintain precise and confidential patient records, documenting all assessments, treatments, and follow-up care.

  10. Manage and maintain the inventory of IV supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling of all compounded solutions and materials.

  11. Compliance and Professional Standards

  12. Maintain current licensure and professional liability insurance as required by the relevant regulatory bodies in Ontario.

  13. Adhere strictly to all federal, provincial, and professional regulations regarding the practice of naturopathy and the administration of IV therapy.
  14. Collaborate with the Vitality Fitness team to integrate IV services safely and efficiently into the studio environment.

  15. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the IV therapy area.

  16. Client Education and Engagement

  17. Educate clients on the benefits, risks, and expected outcomes of Nutritional IV Therapy.

  18. Provide supplementary holistic health and wellness advice as relevant to clients' IV therapy goals.
  19. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, fostering a positive and trusting relationship with Vitality Fitness clients.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid, active, and unrestricted Naturopathic Doctor (ND) license in Ontario
  • Certification: Current certification and demonstrable experience in administering Nutritional Intravenous Therapy.
  • Insurance: Must carry valid professional liability insurance.
  • Experience: Proven clinical experience in a professional setting, with a strong background in holistic health and wellness.

Skills:

  • Expertise in venipuncture and sterile IV administration techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and nutrient pharmacology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a contracted practice.
