You will work within an agile and iterative environment, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders. From initial ideation to final implementation, you will analyze user needs, design innovative solutions, and articulate your design vision. This role offers the opportunity to:

  • **Shape Interaction Design Strategy:**
  • Leverage a deep understanding of user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and task efficiency.
  • Design compelling visualizations and interactions to facilitate analytic thinking with large datasets.
  • Lead design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate engaging ideation sessions and collaborative work activities.
  • Serve as the interaction design subject-matter expert for the product design team.
  • **Create Transformative Interaction Artifacts:**
  • Apply comprehensive interaction design theory, research data, and best practices to inform critical design decisions.
  • Develop complex artifacts that effectively communicate task flows, touchpoints, user behaviors, and information exchange.
  • Produce sophisticated low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate design concepts.
  • Generate intricate prototypes to provide precise delivery specifications for development teams.
  • Present interaction design work and rationale to senior stakeholders, advocating for user-centered solutions.
  • **Drive Research and Testing Initiatives:**
  • Facilitate robust usability testing to gather crucial user feedback.
  • Actively participate in or initiate impactful research activities.
  • Conduct thorough research into interaction design strategies within the industry and perform competitive audits relevant to specific design or business objectives.
  • Execute detailed pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits as needed.
  • What You'll Bring to the Team:**
  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Proven experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
  • Expertise with industry-standard design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and
  • Nice-to-have:**
  • MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
