Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Machinist role located in Chilliwack, BC. The Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture precision components, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring products meet quality and tolerance requirements. Key responsibilities will include programming, setting up machines, conducting quality assurance checks, and troubleshooting issues with equipment. Collaboration with team members, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining equipment are integral parts of the day-to-day tasks associated with this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining CNC milling and turning machines, with knowledge of tools, setups, and controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with precision measurement tools, quality control techniques, and troubleshooting machining issues
- Knowledge of programming CNC machines and adjusting settings to optimize performance and accuracy
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established safety standards
- Solid communication, teamwork skills, and flexibility to adapt to changing production needs
- Prior experience in CNC machining, manufacturing, or related field is preferred
- Degree, certification, or relevant training in machining or mechanical technologies is a plus
