About the Opportunity

The Pedagogist plays a pivotal role in supporting the professional learning and pedagogical development of MNBC Staff, Early Childhood Educators, early learning and child care programs, and Chartered Communities. Their aim is to cultivate democratic, experimental, and socially just cultures of early learning and care, in line with the vision of the BC Early Learning Framework. This is achieved through dialogical processes, innovative pedagogies, and courageous conversations.

Additionally, the Pedagogist oversees the design and implementation of pedagogical projects for early years settings, ensuring that programming honors Métis culture, adheres to Indigenous frameworks, and accomplishes annual goals. They foster a hub of Early Childhood Educators and actively promote Métis language opportunities while engaging the community through information sessions and outreach efforts. Moreover, the Pedagogist manages communication, marketing, and funding interactions, contributing to the connection between educators and programs while preserving the richness of Métis culture and traditions.
