Position Overview:

Location: 33 Lewis St, Perth ON

Reporting to: The Executive Director

Part-time position - 24 hours a week

The Hospice Hub (THH) is seeking a part-time Fundraising and Stewardship Assistant to help us grow our mission through meaningful donor engagement and unforgettable events.

As our Fundraising and Stewardship Assistant you'll be the heartbeat behind our fundraising efforts—working hand-in-hand with volunteers, donors, and partners to bring our vision to life.

Your role will include:

Collaborating with our dynamic volunteers on our fundraising and communications teams and the Executive Director to :

Assist in the planning, execution, and elevation of signature events like:

● Hike for Hospice

● Waves for Hospice

● Maple Fest Dance….and other creative fundraising initiatives

● Seek fresh ways to engage new participants and donors through events that inspire and connect them to THH

● Assist in securing event sponsors, where appropriate

● Assist in the development and promotion or a third party program that encourages community involvement through small fundraising events like yard sales, bake sales, dinner parties and more, all benefitting THH

● Create great event tools like posters, banners, social media posts, etc.

● Assist in the development of event budgets and critical paths for each event

Donor Engagement & Stewardship -

● Identify opportunities to engage donors, clients and loved ones and capture heartfelt testimonials and stories in stories and videos

● Assist in the development of year-end campaigns that celebrate impact of donors and programs

● Assist in the development of the Hospice Heroes program, annual giving programs and other fundraising initiatives.

● Ensure donors feel valued through timely acknowledgments, thoughtful stewardship, and clear communication of their impact

Data & Digital Presence

● Enter donor information into THH's database to ensure timely tax receipting, thank you letters and communications with our donors

● Leverage social media and website updates to share the powerful work of THH

● Ensure fundraising teams have the tools and resources they need to succeed including posters, waivers, pledge forms etc.

● Ensure fundraising events and initiatives are up to date and highlighted on our website

Community Building:

● Build relationships with volunteers, third-party event organizers and community champions.

● Be a visible ambassador for THH—sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and growing our donor family.

What You Bring:

● A passion for community, storytelling, and making a difference. You have a creative spirit and great attention to detail

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

● Great written and oral communications skills

● Comfort with digital tools (CRM systems, social media platforms, etc.), you are tech-savvy and not afraid of technology

● Proficiency in Canva, Google Suite, Mail Chimp, and Wix website will be considered an asset

● Experience in fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit work is a plus—but heart and hustle matter most

What We Offer

● Up to 24 hours a week with the hours being flexible to meet the needs of the organization

● A supportive, mission-driven team with opportunities for professional development and mentorship

● Hourly rate of $25 to $27, depending on experience

● 6% in lieu of benefits

● Some travel may be required to attend special events
