Customer Service Representative – APPS Transport Group
APPS Transport Group currently has an opening for a Customer Service Representative (Monday to Friday shift). Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this individual will collaborate with various departments to meet customer commitments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via telephone and email promptly and professionally.
- Track and trace pickups and deliveries (locally & Westbound).
- Book pickup appointments and accept EDI orders.
- Work closely with dispatch, CS Payables, sales reps, dock, and OSDR to accommodate customer needs.
- Handle special requests based on customer requirements.
- Enter real-time notes into probills as events occur.
- Retrieve and provide PODs/BOLs as needed.
- Monitor dock reports and follow up with customers on potential shipment delays.
- Notify customers of delays for outbound containers moving Westbound.
- Coordinate with West terminals to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage Command Pages and update customer portals.
- Perform other administrative and support duties as required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a customer support role with a strong motivation to assist customers and resolve issues.
- Transportation industry experience is an asset.
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and diplomatically.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (experience with TruckMate is an asset).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task under time-sensitive conditions.
- Proactive with initiative and confidence in internal and external communication.
- Completed post-secondary education is an asset.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.

Pay: $46,500.00-$47,500.00 per year
