Network Technician with Scissor Lift Experience and Access Control Knowledge

Location: Various Provinces Across Canada

Pay: $25.00–$32.00 per hour

Field Tech Solutions, a leading provider of contract services in the telecommunications industry, is currently seeking experienced Network Technicians with scissor lift operation experience and a background in access control systems. Key Responsibilities:

Perform decommissioning and assembly of data centers.

Install switches, routers, and network infrastructure.

Pull RG6, CAT5, fiber, and other cabling in pre-wire and rewire MDU environments.

Execute townhouse rough-ins, finishing plates, and terminations.

Deploy and route network cables through conduits, walls, and ceilings.

Terminate and splice cables for optimal signal quality.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain network and access control systems.

Operate scissor lifts safely and effectively during installations.

Maintain accurate records of installations and service activities.

Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve technical issues.

Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.


Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in copper/network cabling installations.

Valid G license with a clean driver's abstract.

Own reliable vehicle, liability insurance, and WSIB coverage.

Proficient with hand tools and cable installation equipment.

Experience operating scissor lifts is required.

Previous work with access control systems is required.

Comfortable working at heights (ladders and lifts).

Capable of working in various weather conditions.

Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Basic fiber splicing and cable termination experience is an asset.

Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Evening shifts

Night shifts

Weekends as needed

On-the-road/on-site work
