Overview

We are seeking a geologist or geological engineer to oversee major geological works in the Greater Montréal area, specifically for the Blue Line Extension of the Montréal metro.

Your Role
  • Monitor excavation work of rock and various tests carried out by the contractor;
  • Prepare site visit reports and daily reports on construction activities;
  • Review and comment on site reports and cartographic models prepared by the contractor;
  • Provide expertise and build trust-based relationships with clients through knowledge and experience;
  • Produce geological maps according to the progress of the works;
  • Coordinate between design engineers and construction representatives.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering;
  • Being a member of the Ordre des géologues du Québec (OGQ) and/or the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • 10 to 15 years in geology with solid knowledge of the geology of the Greater Montréal area;
  • Proficiency in terrain models, LiDAR, geophysical tools, GIS, and geological/geotechnical modeling software is an asset;
  • Experience in tunnels, metro systems, and urban infrastructure (open-air and underground) is an asset;
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written); bilingualism* is an asset.
