Founded by Curl Expert & Certified Hair Loss Practitioner Destini Maighan-Manaog, we put scalp and hair wellness first, tailor every service to your hair, lifestyle, and goals, and teach you how to care for your curls at home so you can embrace your natural texture with confidence.Who this role is forYou are a stylist who loves working with wavy, curly, and coily hair and takes pride in clean sections, thoughtful consultations, and consistent outcomes. You enjoy learning, refining your craft, and recommending products with integrity.What you will doClient Experience and ServicesProvide thorough consultations that assess goals, lifestyle, curl patterns, porosity, and scalp healthDeliver curl focused services such as curly cuts, wash and style, curl definition, silk press, and basic treatmentsEducate clients on at home care and help them build simple routines that support healthy hairRecommend retail products confidently and ethically to support results between visitsTeam and Salon StandardsMaintain a clean, safe, and spa level work environment throughout the dayFollow sanitation and disinfection best practices and salon protocolsCommunicate clearly with the front desk team and support smooth service flowParticipate in team education, skill building, and service standard trainingWhat we are looking forMust haveStrong foundation in cutting, styling, and finishing textured hairConfident blowdrying and diffusing, plus strong detangling and sectioning habitsA client first mindset with professional communication and punctualityA portfolio of your work, photos or video is perfectAbility to work legally in CanadaNice to haveExperience with curl by curl cutting methodsExperience with scalp care, treatments, and client educationBraiding experienceRetail confidence and comfort recommending routinesInterest in content creation or being featured in salon marketingCompensation and perksCompetitive pay structure based on experience (hourly, commission, or a blend) plus tipsRetail commissionOngoing education and texture focused trainingProduct and tool support, plus employee discountsA supportive team culture with clear standards and growth opportunitiesSchedule optionsWe are open to building the right schedule with the right stylist.How to applyEmail the following to info@descurlspasalon.caResumePortfolio or Instagram handleA short note on your experience with textured hair and what you want to grow in nextSubject line: Curly Stylist Application, Your Name
