We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our VICTORIA group. What You'll Be Doing:We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our VICTORIA group in either a full-time or part-time contractor capacity. For the current employment opportunity, we require candidates to have at least one year of experience providing return-to-work rehabilitation services or other job site experiences (job demands analyses, ergonomic analyses, return-to-work organization with employers at the job site). Experience in community-based therapy or functional capacity evaluations is also an asset. The role of the Occupational Therapist includes but is not limited to:Conduct functional assessments.Develop a graded work simulation program.Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and monitor graduated return-to-work plans.Perform job site visits.Assist with job coaching.Provide timely written and/or verbal communication of assessment findings and treatment outcomes.Provide ongoing individualized education to clients, with a focus on a timely and safe return to work. What You Need to Be Successful:For the current employment opportunity, we request candidates to have 12 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist with 6 months of experience with return-to-work rehabilitation services, functional assessments, or other job site experiences (job demands analyses, ergonomic analyses, return-to-work organization with employers at the job site). Training and mentorship are available for candidates who do not quite meet the requirements. A Bachelor's or Masters's Degree in Occupational Therapy.Current registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC. (COTBC) Possess malpractice insurance of at least $5 million per occurrence.Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently.Have excellent clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to travel to various job sites around the Greater Victoria region.Who We Are:Re: Function Health Group is an established firm with 5 clinics in the Lower Mainland, 2 clinics on Vancouver Island, and 1 clinic in the Okanagan.
