**Operations Manager** to assist in managing, operations and manufacturing at our new refrigerator facility in Elora, Ontario.

Specific responsibilities to assist and manage are:

- Manage day to day operations
- Work closely with ESA, CSA and local facilities to ensure electrical and safety standards are implemented and maintained
- Maximize daily production of the manufacturing facility to deliver a quality product
- Coordinate daily production and the scheduling of all machines to make efficient use of the complete facility
- Ensure operations are in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving the process and the work environment
- Establish procedures and policies to achieve production schedules, product standards, and operational costs
- Metal fabrication equipment, foaming, production line, vacuum forming, injection, automation etc.
- Maintain strong mechanical and electrical understanding of the equipment and develop, implement and manage PM Programs
- Factory flow, manufacturing processes, warehouse, testing and assembly processes
- Ensure proper supervision is maintained in all areas of the plant
- Train and supervise operators on the line equipment
- Involved in Health & Safety protocols in the factory and ensure safe and efficient operations
- Product testing and QA

Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or comparable
- Positive attitude with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Process improvement tools such as Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma
- Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines and plant layouts
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing and automation processes and design
