Café Supervisor

**Cornerstone Cafe is looking for a great team player to join us at the Canmore Nordic Centre.** We are currently looking for an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

**Duties of the position include**:

- Supervising and training Cafe staff.
- Greeting customers to Cornerstone Cafe, taking customer orders, and preparing specialty beverages, soups, chilis, and other food items.
- Assisting with the preparation and cooking of soup, chilis, baked goods and other food items for the Cafe and events, as well as cooking fries, burgers, and grilled sandwiches using a fryer and grill.
- Following all food handling regulations and complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Accepting payment for purchases.
- Performing a cash-out at the end of each shift and being accountable for this cash-out.
- Tracking Cafe inventory and ordering, or preparing orders for the Chef, when stock is running low.
- Keeping the cafe clean and tidy during shift and cleaning the area at the end of the day.
- Responding immediately and appropriately to any situations, including emergency situations, that may arise at the venue.

**Experience**:
Previous experience supervising staff in a cafe or food and beverage role is required for this position. The Cafe Supervisor must have experience and be comfortable preparing specialty beverages, preparing food, and working a fryer and a grill. This role requires an individual who enjoys supervising a small team, is customer focused, punctual and reliable.

Current ProServe and WHMIS certification is required to work in this role. Those with a valid Food Handlers certificate and First Aid certification will be given preference.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week

- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
