Some of your responsibilities may include:

- Payroll Administration_
- Ensure timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Review and verify timesheets, enter hours, and reconcile payroll records.
- Manage payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, and adjustments to deductions.
- Prepare year-end reports, including T4s and related remittances, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare and manage modified work arrangements and renewals.
- Handle personal mileage calculations for year-end T4 tax purposes.
- Maintain apprentice hours and manage wage increases according to the schedule.
- Benefits & Disability Management_
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollments, activations, and deactivations.
- Respond to employee inquiries about benefits and process claims.
- Approve and track internal benefit claims within payroll.
- Renew professional certifications and manage the apprenticeship program documentation.
- Process disability and Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring employees receive appropriate support.
- Research and implement improvements to benefit programs to enhance employee satisfaction.
- Compliance_
- Ensure payroll and benefits processes comply with provincial and federal regulations, including employment standards and tax laws.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll legislation and implement necessary changes.
- Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
- Complete T4s, ROEs, and other regulatory filings on time.
- Employee Support_
- Provide clear and timely responses to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Manage payroll and benefit changes during onboarding and throughout employment.
- Guide employees through claims processes, ensuring full support with disability and Workers’ Compensation matters.

**Position Requirements**:

- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), Certified Payroll Manager (CPM), or equivalent extensive payroll experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in full-cycle bi-weekly (hourly) payroll processing.
- Experience with payroll software; experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35,458.35-$89,475.23 per year
