**Job Overview**
We are seeking energetic and reliable In City Class 1 Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team As an integral part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for delivering freight efficiently within the city, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining the highest safety standards. **Duties**
- Safely operate various commercial vehicles including trucks with manual transmissions, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers within city limits
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Execute route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance reports accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or delivery issues
- Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit and handle special freight such as refrigerated or hazardous materials with care

**Experience**
- Proven truck driving or commercial driving experience within an urban setting
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles and various specialized trucks (e.g., flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailer)
- Experience in load & unload operations and managing freight handling procedures
- Knowledge of city routes, traffic patterns, and safety protocols for delivery drivers
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance checks and safety standards applicable to heavy-duty trucks
- Prior experience with route driving involving multiple stops throughout the city
