**Temporary Housing Assistant (Finance)**

FTE: 1.0 Hours Per Pay Period: 75.00
Hours of Work: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Wage Range: $29.11 - $30.28 per hour
Closing Date: January 31, 2025 at 4:00 PM
**Job Role**
Reporting to the Director of Finance and IT, this position will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions and support. The primary goal of this position is to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and to contribute to the success of a not-for-profit housing and continuing care organization.
**Job Duties**
1. Answers all YARDI® support calls from staff, investigates queries and responds to caller's inquiries in a positive, professional manner.
2. Completes deposit accounting for move outs using the _Move Out Statement _and other supporting documentation.
3. Using the _Site Transfer Form _completes all site-to-site internal transfers in YARDI® and verify the following:
a) transfer intersite balances and create the batch;
b) complete pendant, key, garage door opener deposit transfers (if needed)
c) check and clear old deposit tabs; and
d) upload transfer documents.
4. Assist sites and/or verify rent rolls, lease charge corrections and iterim reviews.
6. Support sites with annual rent reviews and completion of Rent Calculation forms and review all submissions over or under the approved variance threshold.
7. Complete periodic reviews and audits on submitted Rent Calculation forms. Provide individual and group support or training for recurring errors or omissions.
8. Prepare resident letters for annual increases.
9. Monitor YARDI® compliance, provide individual and group support and education regarding transaction and data entry errors, corrections, missing documentation and/or uploads.
10. Provide regularly scheduled education sessions regarding, but not limited to the following:
a) resident ledgers;
b) recurring rent and sundry charges, one-time charges and adjustments;
c) interim reviews and changes;
d) annual reviews and changes; and
e) rent calculations forms (rent calcs).
11. Prepare training guides and updates to the Homeland Housing _YARDI® Instructional Guidebook_.
12. Attend and participate in the YARDI® Working Group meetings.
13. Enter cases for correction with Yardi Client Central as required.
14. Test new processes and workflows provided by YARDI as part of their system and software upgrades.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Education, Training, and Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous office experience, with solid skills in Microsoft Office;
- Previous experience using YARDI® property management software
- Extensive working knowledge of Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Teams
- Knowledge of Yardi would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work both in a team environment and independently

- Ability to effectively multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize work;
- Ability to anticipate needs and take the initiative to complete work in the absence of direct supervision and constant direction;

- Attention to detail and problem solving.
