Saffron Sexual Assault Centre, located in Sherwood Park, is hiring a full-time Clinical Facilitator to join our counselling program team

We offer a friendly and supportive work environment, with some flexibility in creating a schedule that can include days, evenings and/or weekends.

Saffron Centre is a non-profit charitable organization providing compassionate and specialized counselling, prevention education, and police and court advocacy for those impacted by sexual assault and abuse.

As a Clinical Facilitator, you will be a crucial part of our counselling team, guiding clients in their healing journey and helping them develop healthy coping strategies. You will facilitate their access to our services and assist them in navigating mental health supports and resources.

**General Information**

This position reports directly to the Director of Counselling.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Support Saffron’s clients through the entire intake process in order to provide a collaborative, client-centered and trauma-informed experience, including respectfully gathering information from the client, assisting them with the choice of appropriate programming, navigating any potential barriers, aiding with referrals when needed, managing the waitlist, and determining the best fit when assigning a clinician.
- Provide ongoing support for clients and counselling staff by ensuring the timely provision of counselling services through client follow-up, advocacy, systems navigation and administrative support.
- Provide direct clinical interventions including:

- Safety planning and risk management
- Facilitate individual and group psychoeducational programming.
- Co-facilitate other therapeutic group programs with a Saffron therapist.
- Facilitate the effective operations of the Counselling Department through:

- Management of client files and program waitlists
- Gather statistical information for reporting to funders
- Research for program development and implementing changes to agency procedures
- Support the training of intern therapists and volunteer Trauma Coaches.
- Participate in individual supervision, and departmental case consultation.
- Other duties as needed.

**Minimum required qualifications**:

- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- 1+ years of work experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency working with MS Office 365, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with online client management systems an asset.
- Required clearances: Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Children Services Intervention Record Check.
- Specific training in Suicide Intervention, Mental Health First Aid, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) or Solution-Focused Therapy, cultural awareness and group facilitation is advantageous.
- Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to vulnerable individuals from a trauma-informed perspective.
- De-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
- Robust stress management and self-care practices.
- Self-motivated, attention to detail, and can manage multiple responsibilities with ease.
- Collaborative attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and thrives in a small team environment.
- Strong professional oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in clinical reasoning and reflective practice is also important.
- Passionate about guiding individuals through healing and fostering healthy changes in their lives.
