**About Us**:
We are a small close-knit team of Certified Professional Accountants based in North York, Toronto, dedicated to providing top-notch accounting services to our clients. As a small office, we value every team member and their unique contributions.

We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accounting Technician / Bookkeeper to join our team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who excels in bookkeeping and is familiar with multiple accounting software.

**The Role**:

- Manage client bookkeeping records using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain monthly accounting records, including entering bank transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing GST/HST returns.
- Handle payroll, T4s, WSIB, and employee deduction calculations.
- Prepare T1 and T2 returns with precision.
- Welcome and assist visitors, manage phone inquiries, and maintain professional interactions.
- Keep office filing up-to-date with confidentiality and process mail efficiently.

**What We Offer**:

- Competitive Salary of $50,000 - $57,000 per year, negotiable based on experience.
- Casual dress code and on-site parking.
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday with an 8-hour shift. Weekends as needed.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience: 3-5 years of in-depth bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks and at least 2 years in a professional accounting firm preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, ProFile, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Strong organization, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

**Education**:
Completion of a college program in accounting or bookkeeping, or current enrollment towards a professional designation.

**Location**:
North York, ON M2J 4V6 - must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate as remote work is currently not available

**Experience**:

- QuickBooks: 3 years (required)
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
- Corporate tax preparation (T2s): 2 years (preferred)
- HST preparation: 2 years (preferred)
- Personal Tax preparation (T1s): 2 years (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
