**Preferred Qualifications**:

**Day in the Life**

You’ll start your day by firing up the plant, doing a daily inspection and ensuring that everything is ready to run smoothly. Before the rush begins, you’ll submit hours to payroll and review the day’s game plan with the dispatch manager. You’ll guide the team through the daily hazards assessment and make them aware of any special considerations. Throughout the day, you’ll be the main point of contact for our customers placing orders, the drivers delivering loads, and quality control, all with the support of your peers.

You’ll enjoy a mix of working hands on in the plant and getting some fresh air outside with more focused time up in the office, running our plant through the operational and dispatch programs. You may be out in the yard, running the loader to feed the plant, or doing a walk around to identify any areas of improvement or safety concerns. You’ll work closely with our material suppliers to manage inventory before wrapping up the day. With our dispatch team you’ll assist in planning how we can get all the jobs done the next day as efficiently as possible. You’ll close out the plant to ensure everything is shut down, so you have no problems tomorrow.

Finally, you’ll help with safety talks and minor repairs on occasion to really familiarize yourself with the plant. You’ll take pride in knowing we service some of the biggest and most challenging construction projects in Ontario, with a network of 26 plants and over 200 trucks, making us one of the top concrete suppliers in the province. The plant operator is the heart of each operation, keeping the team organized and on time. While the days can be long, the team is what really makes the days go by quickly.
