Junior Draftsperson

**Budal Woodwork** is a woodworking business operating out of Central Alberta in Red Deer. We are a respected manufacturer of custom cabinetry and design solutions to the restaurant, commercial, and retail industries. We currently have an opening for a newly created position of Junior Draftsman to assist our senior personnel to complete projects for our customers. We are seeking a dynamic individual that would thrive in a close team environment working out of our Red Deer office.

Position Outline
- Read and understand architectural plans, ID drawings, cabinet designer drawings
- Understand and interpret appliance specifications
- Design custom cabinets and assemblies to adhere to existing manufacturing practices
- Use Cabinet Vision and S2M to organize and create cut patterns for CNC production
- Organize and create Cabinet Vision jobs using materials schedules, construction methods, library cabinets, and parts
- Create purchase orders for materials and follow through with ordering, delivery, and monitoring inventory levels.

Key attributes we are looking for
- Knowledge and/or experience in cabinetry fabrication and installation
- Be well organized and have attention to detail as this is a multi-tasking position working within specific timelines
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Planit software is an asset
- Ability to work in a close team environment and with shop floor personnel

This is a full time position with working hours Monday to Friday. Benefits provided after 3 months. Wages are negotiable and will be based on experience level.

- Red Deer, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
- drafting: 1 year (preferred)
