**Contract position**
**Community Development Worker (Summer Programs)**
**Purpose of Position**:
Reporting to the Community Development Manager or, in her absence, the Community Development Coordinator, the Community Development Summer Program Worker will deliver and lead in-person summer recreation; arts and sports programs for children youth & occasionally adults ensuring participants have a safe and enjoyable program experience.
**Qualifications**:
- You possess post-secondary education in the field of community development, education, social services, recreation, and the /or equivalent of training and professional experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements

- Ability to lead group activities
- Good organizational and planning abilities

- Understanding of safety and first aid protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Creativity in developing and implementing new programs and activities

**Minimum time commitment per week**:
There is a time commitment of 30-35 hours per week. Must be available for shifts Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm. (8 Weeks contract range: Start date: end of June first week of July contract ends in August)
