**Duties**
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including scheduling maintenance and repairs for equipment.
- Source and procure parts and materials, negotiating favorable pricing and contracts with vendors to optimize costs.
- Monitor vehicle performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding vehicle operation and safety.
- Coordinate with drivers to address any issues related to vehicle performance or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for vehicle maintenance and procurement.
- Prepare reports on fleet performance, costs, and operational efficiency for upper management.
- Collaborate with operations aligning on weekly objectives to ensure timely deliverables.
- Enforce health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and safe operations.
- Create and manage work orders and purchase orders, providing support to mechanics for seamless operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and yard, fostering a safe, efficient work environment.
**Competencies & Skills**
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all mechanical repair activities, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines and operational needs.

- Maintain a clean and organized shop and yard, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
- Coordinate and handle the ordering, pickup, and delivery of parts and materials as required.
- In a fiscally responsible manner, proactively manage the fleet as it relates to equipment repairs, and maintenance
**Experience**
- Proven leadership ability and prior management experience; minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Proven experience in fleet management or a related field is required.
- Practical experience and/or formal training in mechanical systems.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to drive decision-making processes.
- Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, vendors, and management teams.
- A valid driver's license is required; 1A or 3A preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office including word, excel and powerpoint.
- Experience in implementing and management computer-based shop process systems is an asset.
Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
