**TAC Sports Mission**:
The mission of TAC Sports is to provide children with the most personable, growth-oriented recreational and academy skill development. We strive to build our wonderful students' life skills, self-confidence, and self-discipline.
**Afterschool Programs Details**:
Our afterschool programs run from September to June for a 1-hour session (plus early arrival): 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm, and 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Lead, supervise, and ensure the safety of all participants during martial arts sessions.
- Build strong relationships with school administration and faculty.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans tailored to students' age and skill levels.
- Teach students martial arts techniques, including stances, forms, self-defence, and discipline-based exercises.
- Instill values such as respect, focus, self-control, and perseverance.
- Provide individual feedback and encourage skill development for each student.
- Evaluate students’ progress, conduct assessments, and communicate results to students.
- Participate in staff meetings and required training.
- Motivate students to build confidence and achieve personal milestones.
- Enforce safety rules and ensure proper use of equipment.
- Perform additional duties as prescribed.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience working with children aged 3.5-12.
- Martial arts certification or equivalent training in disciplines such as Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, Kung Fu, or similar.
- Experience teaching martial arts to children in a group setting.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Standard First Aid and CPR C certification.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Bilingual - English/French is an asset.
