**Job Summary**
Join our dynamic team as a Cashier, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently managing transactions. You will be the friendly face that greets customers, ensuring their shopping experience is smooth and enjoyable. Your responsibilities will include handling cash, processing payments, and assisting with product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement. **What you’ll do**
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their inquiries.
- Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and promoting sales.
- Engage customers with product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area while stocking shelves as needed.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.
- Supervise junior staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.

**Experience**
- Previous cashier experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
- Experience in stocking and merchandising products effectively to drive sales.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to upsell products and create an inviting shopping atmosphere.

Pay: $17.85-$22.63 per hour
