**FOOD SERVICES MANAGER -**PERMANENT FULL-TIME
Annual Salary: $61,586- $72,468

The primary goal of the Food Services Manager is to ensure our residents and patients are receiving high quality, person-centered care that is in alignment with our values of Dignity, Excellence, Service and Integrity. The Food Services Manager plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates all aspects of the Food Services Department to ensure high quality nutritional care and pleasant dining experiences for Villa residents and St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (Clarion site) patients. They ensure compliance to long term care, hospital and Public Health standards and operational requirements including Safety, Security and Infection Prevention and Control protocols. Menu planning, inventory control, Continuous Quality Improvement, and human resources management are key aspects of the role. The Food Services Manager participates as part of an inter-professional team.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Overseeing all food production and delivery services
- Developing and managing food production programs based on the current menus
- Hiring, supervising and directing the orientation and training of Food Services staff
- Consulting with the Registered Dietitian in matters concerning residents’/patients’ nutritional status to determine diets, diet changes, and requirements for supplements
- Managing supplier contracts and handling the sourcing, ordering and procurement of food products, supplies, and equipment
- Developing and administering an annual operating budget

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Successful completion of the Food Service Supervisor’s course and Nutrition and Diet Therapy course
- Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management and the Ontario Society of Nutritional Management
- At least two years of experience in food services management (preferably in Long Term Care Food Services Administration) and specific knowledge of Therapeutic and Dietetic practices, menu planning, food costing, food preparation and all applicable Public Health, sanitation, safe food handling, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Excellent people management, communications and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingualism is an asset
- COVID-19 Vaccination mandatory (2 Doses) to work in our facility
