Edmonton, Canada Providence Centre Full time

**Job Status**: Fulltime Regular
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and every other weekend shift.

**Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Preparing, organizing and implementing recreation activity services, both group and one-on-one, including outings, leisure activities, exercise and stretching, crafts and fun games, daily prayer and meditation, etc.
- Setting up of venues, arranging refreshments, purchasing activity materials, and arranging transportation of residents to various scheduled locations, outings and events
- Preparing monthly activities calendar in cooperation with the Nursing Department and other departments as required
- Assisting with assessment of resident’s needs through observation and collaboration with the Nursing Staff
- Assisting with walking residents and performing light exercises in consultation with the Nursing Supervisor
- Maintaining appropriate records and documentation including assessment and evaluation of planned programs
- Performing all other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Must possess a positive attitude, sincere desire, and ability to deal respectfully and pleasantly with the resident Sisters, and staff and visitors
- Completed at least 1 year Therapeutic Recreation Certificate Program
- At least 1 year experience as recreation aide
- Previous experience working with the elderly
- Comfortable working in a Catholic faith environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be fluent in English in both written and verbal.
- Has clear Vulnerable and Criminal Record Check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.87-$23.98 per hour
