**Job Summary**
Based out of Chesterfield House, the Manager of Supportive Housing (MSH) oversees the residents at Chesterfield House. Chesterfield consists of 25 residents that are semi independent. The MSH is responsible for the overall operations of the society’s Supportive Housing Program at Chesterfield, including direct client support, assisting with resident/tenant issues, assisting with building safety, and liaison with collaborating agencies. This position also assists with Marineview Housing Society's mental health group home leadership team.
**Responsible To**: Executive Director
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
Coordinates, develops, and implements individual recovery/ rehabilitation plans using a client-centered approach. These plans include ADL, medications, mental illness management and social engagement, emergency support plans, i.e., implements the CHS rehabilitation program.
Ensures client documentation including but not limited to wellness/recovery plans, taxes, income assessments, progress notes, incident reporting and any required “tenant” agreements are in place and current.
Assess all referrals for suitability for the CHS program. Arranges for resident admissions, possible re-admissions, and discharges.
Collaborates closely with the Hope Centre Residential Housing Team and other agencies to support tenants/clients.
Administers, coordinates, and directs the operations of the facilities
Assists with budget development and implements approved budget for CHS site.
Maintains records as required
Establishes and maintains professional contacts with the community and related agencies. Ensure that CHS is a good neighbour.
Directs Facility operations including undertaking inspections. With Caretaker, develops and implements approved building maintenance and repair plan within budget.
Be on call for urgent items and emergencies.
Prepares reports for Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Provides supportive Housing services to Marineview Housing’s Licensed sites as required approx. 0.25 FTE.
**Qualifications**:
**Education, knowledge, and experience**
Two years supervised experience with CBT and motivational interviewing and psycho-social rehabilitation. Experience with DBT an asset.
Diploma in Social Work, Counselling, Recreational therapy, or completion of diploma or two-year certificate programs in Community Mental Health and/or Psycho
- Social rehabilitation with relevant experience. Extensive experience is an asset. Member of a regulated health profession an asset
A minimum of two to five years of experience in supporting adults with significant mental illness. Experience in residential care an asset
Demonstrated knowledge of serious mental health illness and treatments
Recent experience in management or supervision in a mental health residential setting
Demonstrate knowledge of administration, staff supervision, budget management, scheduling and record keeping.
Knowledge and experience in Facility management and The Residential Tenancy Act.
Physical and mental ability to undertake role responsibilities
Ability to problem solve, work independently, and prioritize.
Ability to demonstrate leadership ability including conflict resolution
Demonstrates commitment to ongoing education.
Ability to speak another language, particularly Farci is an asset.
Driver’s License and vehicle required.
Current First Aid/CPR, Naloxone, and Food Safe certification required.
