We are currently looking for a full-time Sawmill General Laborer to join our Freeman Lumber Production Team. This position is an entry level position in the sawmill. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for:

- Sorting, piling, and transporting wood products
- Pulling and piling heavy lumber in both an internal/external environment
- Stacking stickers into a machine
- Cleaning machines and work area
- Assisting other production workers as required
- Working in a safe manner ensuring that all safety procedures and applicable codes are followed

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Maintain productivity and quality while ensuring compliance with all safe work practices and health and safety policies and procedures
- Effectively work as part of a team
- Work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task while working under pressure and adapting quickly to change
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs
- Must be physically capable of bending, reaching, lifting and able to work in extreme environments (hot, cold, rain, snow)
- Availability to work shiftwork (day/evening shifts), weekends, holidays, and overtime hours (reliable transportation required)

**Qualifications**:

- Positive attitude towards safety
- Must be qualified to work in Canada

**Compensation**:
$20.75 per hour increasing to $21.75 after three (3) months with satisfactory performance

**Total Compensation Package**:

- Competitive wages based on experience
