Edmonton, Canada West Henday Physical Therapy Full time

We are searching for an experienced **Acupuncturist **to join our West Edmonton based clinic. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a range of acupuncture services to clients. You will greet clients, discuss their needs and goals, and determine the most beneficial treatments based on the information provided. You will locate and treat painful, tense body areas and muscles while ensuring clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the session.

You should ensure client satisfaction by being pleasant, friendly, professional, and attentive. Some of your other responsibilities will include ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment, documenting client progress and keeping track of massage supplies.

Ultimately, to be a successful applicant for this position, you should have excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills. As well as physical stamina, strength and technical knowledge.

**Acupuncturist Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Meet and consult with clients to determine the type of chiropractic treatment needed.
- Locate painful or tense body areas and muscles and provide appropriate treatments.
- Discuss and create treatment plans for clients based on their individual needs and goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, sanitized, and enjoyable environment.
- Document client progress using an electronic charting system (training will be provided).
- Consider clients’ medical history and note issues or conditions.
- Recommend stretching, strengthening, and relaxation methods.
- Staying up to date with new treatments and techniques through continuing education courses or classes is highly encouraged.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or a GED.
- Valid Acupuncturist License in Alberta.
- Responsible and Reliable with a Strong Work Ethic
- Actively Listen and Respond to Client Needs
- Provide Ongoing Evaluation of Client Progress
- Able to work well & collaborate with practitioners of various modalities
- Provide Complete and Timely SOAP/Chart Notes
- Hold Valid Licenses & Liability Insurance
- In Good Standing with an Approved Association.
- Solid knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Able to preform manual and activator chiropractic methods.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength.
- Great organizational skills.
- Pleasant and professional appearance.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine is an asset

**Hours and Compensation**

Our Clinic hours are, Monday - Friday 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturdays, Sundays, and Statutory Holidays, the clinic is closed. We will work with the successful applicant to create a schedule that works for both parties. Once a schedule is made, it is important for our clinic to keep that schedule consistent.

Compensation for this position is based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience and can be discussed during our face-to-face interviews.
