Operations Director

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

This position is responsible for ensuring the proper set up, start up, and the operation of Tetra Pak filling equipment through the supervision and assistance of production staff. This includes the caser/stacker area
- ensuring case supply to caser equipment and conveyers are properly working. This also includes downstream equipment, such as the straw applicator.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES**
- Oversee and coach employees.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment.
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
- Check production output according to specifications.
- Prepare all packaging materials for filler.
- Set up the filler according to the operation manual.
- Perform all testing/checks while setting up and starting the machine.
- Communicate with pasteurizing area and start running the filler.
- Maintain quality control checks of codes, seals, and weights.
- Regular cleaning of associated work area and equipment operated.
- Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns.
- Support and maintain Rubicon Food Products Ltd. quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

**Education and Experience**
- Grade 12 education
- 2 years of experience in food or dairy product manufacturing environment 1 year of which should be in a supervisory capacity; Tetra Pak experience a very strong asset.
- Forklift Licensed preferred

**Skills and Characteristics**

- Ability to supervise team of 10 to 20 people.
- Ability to train and develop team members.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Analytical and detail-oriented.
- Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
- A high commitment level and a team player who works well with people.
- Can easily assume additional responsibility as required.
- Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3K8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
- Tetra Pak: 2 years (preferred)
