As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Facilities Builder. **Job Summary**: As a Shop Facilities Builder at NWPM, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our shop and facility infrastructure. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, is adept at problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The Shop Facilities Builder will report directly to the Operations Controller and will contribute to our commitment to continuous improvement. So you get an idea of our commitment to the "lean" philosophy check out our shop videos: **Key Responsibilities**: - **Facility Improvement**: Plan, design, and execute improvements and upgrades to our shop and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and safety. - **Equipment Operation**: Operate various equipment and machinery necessary for construction, repair, and maintenance tasks. - **Hands-On Craftsmanship**: Perform welding, woodworking, and other manual tasks with precision and attention to detail. - **Problem Solving**: Identify and resolve facility-related issues and challenges, implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency. - **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with the operations team and other departments to coordinate and execute facility improvement projects. - **Continuous Improvement**: Actively participate in identifying areas for improvement within the facility and contribute to ongoing enhancement initiatives. **Qualifications**: - Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands-on work. - Proficiency in welding and woodworking. - Ability to operate a variety of equipment and machinery. - Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on finding practical solutions. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Willingness to get dirty and perform physically demanding tasks. - Commitment to safety protocols and best practices. - Previous experience in a similar role is an asset. - Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving. **Benefits**: - Competitive salary and benefits package. - Opportunity for professional growth and development. - A collaborative and supportive work environment. - The chance to make a significant impact through your contributions to facility improvements.
