Assembler/packer/shipper

This position is Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. Excellent benefits package. Warehouse is air conditioned.

The Assembler/Packer/Shipper position is a critical member of the warehouse team and is responsible for accurately picking, and assembling Sunstar products, following instructions and packing products into cartons for shipping to Sunstar Customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Checking all items on orders are picked accurately, ensuring that the contents match the accompanying paperwork, and ensuring that it is assembled correctly and packed in the proper shipping box.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of all products.
- Must ensure that any instructions on orders are followed before forwarding cartons for shipping.
- Visibly checks items for obvious damage or defects before packing.
- Packs a variety of products into prepack displays, onto clipstrips and kits, and into cartons for shipping.
- Cross train on other positions within the warehouse, including, but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, LTL Shipping, etc.
- Participate in taking inventory.

1. **Education & Professional Qualifications**

a. High School Diploma

2. **Knowledge/Experience**

a. 2-3 years of manual assembly experience

b. Lifting: Picking units of product out of cartons and repacking them into prepacks, kits or clipstrips and move them to shipping cartons to complete an order. Placing the order onto pallets for shipping.

c. Weights: Picking units and carton weights range from.5 lbs to 50 lbs.

d. Standing/Bending/Sitting: Requires walking up and down the shipping line or other areas of the warehouse, as necessary, bending to pick products, as well as sitting to assemble prepacks, clipstrips, and kits and walking to a pallet to place the finished product on it for shipping.
