We looking for a mature individual to work in the childcare department Monday and Wednesday evenings (3pm-8pm) and weekends.
**JOB SUMMARY**

The Childcare Personnel must ensure that the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional needs of the children are met while the children are in the childcare facility.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assisting with activities; keeping children developmentally appropriate and safe for the space.
- Maintaining daily open communication with parents and coworkers.
- Ensuring children are supervised at all times.
- Ensuring all toys and surroundings are clean, well maintained, safe and healthy at all times.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures.
- Attend all staff meetings and be a good role model for everyone.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Must be highly motivated and energetic
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand.
- Must be respectful to all employees, members and children
- Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary
- Must be able to work evenings, and weekends as necessary

**SUPERVISION**:

- Supervision and training will be given by the Childcare Manager

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in childcare service would be an asset.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Childcare personnel work shifts that include late evening, weekends and holidays
- The position may be physically demanding including lifting and carrying children and equipment
- Childcare Personnel will be working in a busy and occasionally noisy environment
- Caring for children can be stressful. There may be a number of situations happening at once and the Childcare Personnel must be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time.
