The Director of Digital Transformation will play a crucial role in leveraging the recently implemented Oracle Health Platform to drive the transformation both within and outside the walls of the hospital. Reporting to the EVP, Digital Transformation and CIO, the Director of Digital Transformation is responsible to ensure that best practices for future innovations and clinical and digital transformations are reflected in the design, testing, integration and implementation of projects in alignment with strategic roadmaps and initiatives.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Director of Digital Transformation role will play a fundamental part in the success of complex, multi-site clinical and digital transformation initiative by leveraging the Oracle Health HIS as a foundation. The provision of critical consultative leadership, clinical informatics expertise, planning and direction will be key in this role.
- Utilize the PMO project management methodology and framework to drive project standards and execute activities that achieve the deliverables as stated in the project charters and scope statements aligned to strategic plans and initiatives
- Identify and mitigate risks in digital projects, using innovative problem-solving and resource allocation to meet objectives
- Provide strategic direction, development, and mentorship to a nascent health informatics department
- Understand the internal and external landscape; identify opportunities for transformation; identify funding opportunities where possible; develop an annual plan in alignment with the organization's strategic plan
- Assuming accountability for ensuring that the team meets the deliverables associated with the tasks and requirements for each project to ensure timely decision making and completion of all associated solutions
- Promote the necessary rigor of project management practices working in collaboration with the Chief Medical Information Officer; Health Informatics department; and Project Managers to monitor milestones and critical paths, report on project status and work in partnership with the Benefits Realization and Change Management teams to ensure strategic alignment and success
- Regular reporting of project and budget status to the Digital Steering Committee and Digital Transformation Board Committee

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University degree in specializing in business, project management or a health related field preferred
- Master's degree (eHealth, MHSc, MBA) would be an asset
- PMP designation is a requirement
- Minimum of 8-10 years of leading complex initiatives in a large enterprise environment
- Prior experience leading the operations of a major HIS, preferably Oracle Health
- Experience in a health care/public sector is required
- Experience in organizational transformation would be an asset
- Experience leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes environments
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships
- Experience in clinical informatics or health IT architecture
- Experience with Oracle Health operations an asset
- Proven ability to generate program based metrics and status reports
- Proven ability to motivate and lead a large team to deliver exceptional results
- Proven ability to work with various governance committees (including working groups)
- Experience with Microsoft Suite including MS Project and Microsoft Project Web Access would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, coaching and negotiation
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
