As the **Facility Maintenance Assistant,** you will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the main clubhouse and additional outbuildings ensuring preventative maintenance and repairs are performed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance of club assets, including repairs to walls, doors, office furniture, and equipment
- Perform maintenance as required on clubhouse, out buildings, offices, kitchen facilities, washrooms, all parking areas and grounds
- Ensure all safety standards and regulations are adhered to including wearing of protective equipment and clothing
- Assist in repairing and/or troubleshooting of plumbing, electrical and mechanical issues
- Maintenance/service and troubleshooting of HVAC systems
- Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting duties as required
- Perform outdoor maintenance as required such as snow removal and sand/salt of walk ways and stairs
- Assist in receiving and unloading shipments, and delivering to various departments
- Help maintain inventory levels
- Assist the events team with set up and tear down as needed
- Assist the operations team with projects as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Able to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, other departments, and key stakeholders
- Strong prioritization skills
- Prepared to work flexible schedules e.g., evenings, weekends, holidays, extended hours
- Calm under pressure and patient
- Ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds

**What You Bring**
- A secondary school diploma or comparable combination of working experience and education
- Knowledge of carpentry, finishing, minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, tiling and other associated trades an asset
- Skilled at; maintenance practices, procedures, and repair work, along with hand tools and equipment that is common to building trades
- Valid ON Driver’s License

**Work Conditions**
- May be required to work in environments requiring personal protective equipment
- May be exposed to dust, chemicals and high levels of noise
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must have the ability to read and write the English language
