Educational Support Coach

Student Services - Alternative Learning Team

The Educational Support Coach will demonstrate knowledge, skill, and a commitment to:
Modeling a strong understanding and knowledge of positive behaviour supports and the ability to share tools and strategies to support co-regulation and improve a student’s ability to regulate.

Implementing evidence-based practices for students with various developmental disorders.

Collaborating with service providers such as occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physical therapists to model and implement a wide-range of service plans and/or the appropriate use of specialized equipment.

Support with the implementation and modeling of sensory plans, activities, and/or the appropriate use of specialized sensory equipment.

Provide professional development for school and division staff related to diverse and complex learners and inclusive education practices.
