**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Director, Security Operations, the Manager, Security Service and Ground Transportation is a vital member of the MLSE Safety and Security team. You will be a key contributor in working towards our vision of providing a high standard of services while providing an outstanding customer experience to both internal and external customers. In this role, you will be responsible for providing security support services to the security operations team at all MLSE events. You will also be accountable for overseeing and delivering the parking and ground transportations requirements at all MLSE venues. This role is predominately administrative position with some operational work, with an emphasis on customer service suited for a person who has a passion with working with fans, security staff, and other departments, yet also one is organized and meticulous in delivering effective security and parking strategies.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for security guard recruitment
- Develop guard procedures, manuals, and training program
- Manage the uniform program for the guard and supervisor team
- Oversee the procurement, maintenance and repair of tools and equipment
- Manage the department budget including forecasting, reconciliation, and invoicing
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ground transportation program including:

- Review of traffic flow in and around MLSE venues, identify areas for improvement
- Identify city events and/or construction that will impact traffic flow into/out of MLSE venues and impact events and develop contingency plans
- Develop relationships with the city of Toronto Transportation Services department to facilitate road closures, permitted events, and construction needs
- Provide both proactive and reactive notification to employees and fans on traffic issues/delays and alternative routes/plans
- Develop relationships and work with public transit agencies to facilitate train, streetcar, bus, and subway access to venues for fans and staff
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with arena neighbours that share the underground footprint
- Working with the Director, Security Programs develop a working relationship with Toronto Police Traffic unit
- Develop and implement a comprehensive parking program at Scotiabank Arena to meet MLSE requirements and to maximize revenue. Develop new strategies to meet VIP and suite holder expectations
- Lead all operational aspects of loading dock and ramp management ensuring goods and products move efficiently
- Lead MLSE discussions with Exhibition Place on parking, traffic management, and special event impacts to both
- Performs other security related duties as directed

**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, related experience in a large venue or facility operational role
- An understanding of managing large teams and the needs of supporting an operational group
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills to coordinate the needs of a large team of staff
