In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in the Long Term Care Home under the Ministry of Long Term Care Homes Act and residents Bill of Rights. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized support and care.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with meal service, assist with feeding and ensure proper nutrition.
- Assist individuals with mobility, transfers, toileting and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing bed making, sanitization of beds and assist with cleaning bedside units.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being.
- Document care provided on Point of Care electronic system and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

**Experience**
- Long Term Care or Assisted living settings.
- Patient care within nursing homes or hospice care environments
- Working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care experience
- Home care or caregiving roles that involve direct client interaction

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.58-$31.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
