**Job Summary**: Responsible for assisting with the management of the Cheese department. Also responsible for serving all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.

**Reports to**: Cheese Department Head.

**Job Duties**
- Ensures that customers in the cheese counter are served in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Acts as the leader of the department in the absence of the Department Head.
- Assists with the execution of the Company's Merchandising and Promotional strategies.
- Assists with enforcing proper procedures.
- Assists in ensuring the completion of departmental tasks by delegating to associates within the department.
- Cutting, packaging, weighing, taping product.
- Stocks and merchandises counter.
- Receives and checks invoices of cheese and dairy products.
- Assists with quality assurance, credits and waste.
- May assist with the Dairy department.
- May assist with Curbside orders.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and other departments within the organization.
- One year experience in a leadership role is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of cheese and cheese products is considered an asset.
- Experience working with cheese slicers, overhead wrapping machines and vacuum pack machines is considered an asset.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
- Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
- Bend and lift loads, up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
