**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operate Telehandler and Excavator**: Safely and efficiently operate telehandlers and excavators for various tasks, including material handling, lifting, trenching, and grading.
- **Site Preparation and Maintenance**: Clear, prepare, and maintain construction sites by removing debris, digging, leveling, and grading according to project specifications.
- **Daily Equipment Inspections**: Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure that the telehandler and excavator are in proper working condition, reporting any maintenance needs or malfunctions.
- **Load and Unload Materials**: Use the telehandler to lift and transport materials around the site, following load limits and weight restrictions to prevent damage to equipment.
- **Collaborate with Site Team**: Work closely with site supervisors, laborers, and other equipment operators to coordinate tasks, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Complete daily logs, maintenance reports, and other required documentation to keep accurate records of equipment use and condition.
- **Preventive Maintenance**: Perform minor preventive maintenance on equipment, ensuring readiness and identifying issues for further inspection and repair.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years operating telehandlers and excavators on construction sites, with demonstrated proficiency and safety record.
- **Certification**: Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or license required, with specific endorsements or training for telehandler and excavator operation preferred.
- **Safety Training**: Completion of WHMIS, working-at-heights, and any other applicable safety training is an asset.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with telehandler and excavator mechanics, including hydraulics and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, lift heavy materials, and work in various outdoor conditions.
