Located in CDN/NDG, the Valiquette Academy Foundation is a registered Canadian charity that continually goes above and beyond the call to help children succeed both academically and outside of the school structure, through our academic programmes, camps, and seminars.

**Responsibilities**:

- Draft proposals and reports for foundations and governmental agencies.
- Research grant opportunities and make recommendations on which ones are appropriate for the academy.
- Write grant proposals, reports, and other documents to help secure funding for the academy
- Develop fundraising strategies
- Manage and maintain donor relationships.
- Achieve short-term fundraising goals.

QUALIFICATIONS - Required:

- Bilingual, strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 1+ years Industry experience in roles that include strategic planning, project management.
- Understanding of accounting and finance practices; ability to interpret an income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Strong decision-making skills; ability to work with limited information.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong research skills.
- Highly flexible and adaptable.

**Job Type**: Part time - 15hrs/week. In the future this will grow to a full-time position.

**Salary**: $25/hour with share of fundraising revenue.
