Manager, Data Solutions is responsible for the technical delivery of multiple data and analytics solutions across the J&J Vision Care sector’s key initiatives. You will work closely with business technology partners and multiple technology service departments to drive innovative data products for end users, such as data scientists, data analysts and business Stakeholders. Additionally, you will help shape overall solution architecture, oversee technical delivery, and ensure best practices are followed to optimize shared business outcomes.
**Responsibilities**
- Work with business technology partners to understand business needs, shape solution architecture and propose solution delivery.
- Ensure solution design is in line with overall business strategy and technology service’s roadmap.
- Coordinate the selection of technical project team members to ensure right mix of skillsets and experience.
- Lead and provide technical oversight to data solution development and AWS cloud team in ensuring technical and business goals are achieved
- Foster positive relationships with other technology service teams to leverage other organizational assets.
- Act as a consultant to other teams, challenge the status quo, market the team’s products, and provide technical leadership in the Data Solutions space.
- Understand and articulate the benefits of reusable patterns and products developed by the team to potential adopters.
- Keep current with technology trends to drive standard methodologies within technology services.
**Qualifications** Required**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required (focus on Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical field preferred)
- A minimum 6 years of professional experience
- Experience working in some combination of the following core skills
- AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, Lambda, Athena, CloudFormation/Terraform)
- Data Lakes (AWS EMR, Cloudera)
- Data Warehouses (AWS Redshift, Teradata, Snowflake)
- ETL Processing (Python, PySpark, Informatica, Talend)
- Data Visualization (Tableau, QlikSense, PowerBI)
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies
- Ability to manage low-level details of a project while understanding the bigger picture of the IT strategy is required
- Must be able to define, shape, and drive tasks and projects to completion with little supervision while effectively collaborating strategically with others
- Strong communication (written and oral), leadership, decision-making and influencing skills
**Preferred**
- Knowledge of DevOps and CICD processes and technologies
- Experience using Agile, Scrum, and Kanban tools and methods
- Some combination of the following additional skills preferred
- Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CICD (Jenkins, GIT, Artifactory, Sonarqube)
- APIs (Apigee, Mulesoft)
- Data Catalogs (Collibra, Alation)
- Data Virtualization (Denodo)
- AWS certified Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer, Data Analytics or Machine Learning
**Others**
- This position may require up to 10% travel(domestic/international) as per business needs
