**Job Summary** **Salary: $44,000 yearly plus $3.00 per hour Government Wage Enhancement** Since 1980, Pioneer Youth Services operates residential treatment homes for children and youth with behavioural, social, emotional, and psychological disorders Requirements**:G-Class Driver’s License** First Aid certification and Non -Violent Crisis Intervention training would be an asset.. - We would like to thank all applicants for their interest in Pioneer Youth Services; however only those requested for an interview will be contacted by a representative of Pioneer Youth Services_ **Responsibilities and Duties** - Working "on the floor" in a group home setting. - Participating in resident assessments - Preparing internal reports, form in a timely manner - Counseling residents individually and/or in a group setting - Carrying out regular, planned programs and activities - Providing educational support services as necessary - Monitors interaction between individual residents and intervene if issues arise - Teaching social and life skills through interaction and modelling - Liaise with family and social worker of resident - participate and assist in planning of the summer program - Lead, monitor and assist in children's therapeutic groups and meetings - Completing logs and incident reports as required - Administer medications - **Need to be available for some weekends, evenings & stat days (not overnights)** **Qualifications and Skills** - Strong behaviour management skills - At least 1 year children/youth experience in a residential treatment (group home) setting for children and young adults with emotional, physical, social, behavioural challenges and/or dual diagnosed youths - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - Strong ability to build productive and supportive relationships with both staff and residents **Job Type**: Contract/Possibility for Permanency **Salary: $44,000 yearly** **Job Types**: Full-time, COVID-19 considerations: All PPE provided free of charge **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $44,000.00 per year Additional pay: - Bonus pay - Overtime pay Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Weekend availability COVID-19 considerations: All PPE supplied. **Experience**: - Child and Youth Workers: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - G Driver's License (required)
