As we expand high-speed internet capabilities through advanced fiber-optic infrastructure, we're seeking a talented **Fiber Splicer Team Lead** to join ourPON (Passive Optical Network) deployment team.

**Position Overview**
As the **Fiber Splicer Team Lead**, you will take ownership of specialized splicing operations within TechConnect's fiber rollout projects. Your leadership and technical expertise will support the delivery of high-performance broadband networks in target regions, helping close the digital divide with future-ready infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Fiber Splicing**: Execute and oversee both fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables for backbone and distribution networks.
- **Enclosure Management**: Install, seal, and organize fiber splice closures and panels—including both inline and dome enclosures—to industry standards.
- **Testing & Verification**: Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to verify optical performance and ensure all splices meet stringent technical benchmarks.
- **Documentation**: Prepare comprehensive and accurate test results, daily work logs, and as-built drawings in TechConnect's preferred formats.
- **Permitting & Compliance**: Understand and work within local permitting frameworks, ensuring all activities comply with municipal requirements.
- **Safety & Standards**: Lead by example in upholding the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance with industry regulations.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven Canadianexperience leading or performing fiber optic splicing projects in the field.
- Strong familiarity with OTDR and power meter testing, splicing tools, and fiber management equipment.
- Solid understanding of permitting processes and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Fluent/native-level English & very strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Excellent computer proficiency, especially with **Microsoft Office** (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital documentation tools.
- Detail-oriented with a track record of producing accurate and timely documentation.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate small teams and field operations.
- Valid and clean driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
