**Description**:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Experience working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant using an automated urinalysis system, including macroscopic and microscopic analysis within the last 12 months, or student experience within the last 12 months.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience preparing samples for loading on instrumentation is an asset. Experience performing small equipment maintenance is an asset. Experience with Inventory Management is an asset.
