Ocular Hygienist

We are seeking a super friendly, self-motivated Ocular Hygienist to join our team This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and interested in a career in eye care. As an Ocular Hygienist, you will play a vital role in the organization and care of the dry eye center, and assist with medical diagnostics in providing an excellent patient experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Counseling patients on dry eye treatments
- Performing dry eye treatments [ZEST, Radio-frequency, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT)]
- Conducting various diagnostic tests, such as retinal imaging, OCTs, visual field testing, Myah biometry, meibography
- Assist optometrist with various procedures, such as measuring intraocular pressure and administering eye drops
- Assist in pre-testing with AR and lensometer
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using the EMR system
- Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation in the EMR, patient logs, and office communications
- Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Assist other team members in the dispensary when needed

**What You Bring**:

- Previous experience working in a optometry setting - minimum 2 years
- Comfortable with sales with strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional patient care
- Ability to work efficiently and adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Resourcefulness to solve day to day issues
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Proficiency in using optical equipment, such as autorefractor, tonometer, and OCT
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with optometrists and other staff members

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:
