Position Summary
- **S**ummer Student (*Must be enrolled in high school or post secondary school)

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with yard work and light maintenance of all buildings and grounds within the Barrhead and District Social Housing Association. This includes performing a variety of grounds tasks to improve the aesthetic value of the property, while also supporting the wellbeing and comfort of residents.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be enrolled in high school or post secondary school
- Experience mowing and trimming grass
- Knowledge of watering and pruning plants
- Window washing and light maintenance duties
- Must be mentally and physical fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid drivers license and drivers abstract must be provided
- Clean vulnerable sector criminal record check.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensures that all grounds and maintenance repairs are handled in a safe, prompt, efficient, and economical manner.
- Serves as part of the Maintenance staff team to ensure a high quality of services and accommodations are provided to the residents. This includes driving company vehicle to other facility locations and picking up supplies.
- Must be courteous and respectful to all coworkers, residents, and visitors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
