**About the Role**

Wessuc’s Land Application programs handle over 450,000 m3 of organic waste each year. This Non-Agricultural Source Material (NASM) is spread on agricultural land in an environmentally responsible manner. We are looking for a highly motivated **Nutrient Management Consultant** to support our Land Application programs.

As Nutrient Management Consultant you will:

- Conduct site inspections to evaluate the suitability of farms and fields;
- Create and submit Non-Agricultural Source Material (NASM) plans;
- Coordinate spreading schedules with operations and farmers in accordance with farm crop schedules and crop nutrient needs;
- Respond to questions or concerns from neighbouring communities and/or farmers.

This position involves regular travel (3-4 days per week) to client sites. A company vehicle is provided.

The successful applicant will be based out of our Barrie offices.

**About You**

We’re looking for a self-motivated, independent individual with education or experience in a similar role.

Your skills and experience include:

- Diploma or degree in Agriculture or Environmental Sciences, or several years of hands-on farming experience;
- Familiarity with the Environmental Protection Act and Nutrient Management Regulations; NASM Technician or NASM Plan Development Certificate an asset;
- Demonstrated organizational skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills;
- Experience with agricultural equipment and farming, and enjoy working outdoors;
- Good computer software skills and some experience with aerial imagery and mapping;
- Clean drivers abstract;
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some early mornings and evenings, with regular travel across Central and Southern Ontario.
